How to Add Texture to Your Paintings
There are infinite ways to make a painting unique. We love to incorporate unusual or surprising materials to our paintings to give it depth and texture. After layering a few colors onto your canvas, consider folding in new materials including paper, wire, string, mesh, sequins, glitter, and any other small (relatively flat) found objects you may have around the house.
Typically the objects will dry in place (the acrylic paint acts as an adhesive) - but you can also add some glue and water to your acrylic paint mixture in order to make sure the objects will stay in place.
